Join us for a free one-day workshop for educators at the Japanese American National Museum, hosted by the USC U.S.-China Institute and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. This workshop will include a guided tour of the beloved exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community, slated to close permanently in January 2025. Following the tour, learn strategies for engaging students in the primary source artifacts, images, and documents found in JANM’s vast collection and discover classroom-ready resources to support teaching and learning about the Japanese American experience.

This day is dedicated to informing all USC students-- who come from all over the world, about 2008 Beijing Olympics and China. Information about Olympics as well as the history, culture, economy and religions of China will be provided.
We need many volunteers and it would be great if you can show up to support this event!
Key activities include:

There will be a long white cloth provided for all of you who love China and want to show your support to Beijing Olympics. CSSA will submit the cloth to the Consulates-General of China in Los Angeles after the event.
***Videos & Photos***
We will have huge "Fuwa" displayed in the park and you are welcome to take pictures with them.
This is the first round of the event and hopefully we will have the second round held soon.
