On September 29, 2024, the USC U.S.-China Institute hosted a workshop at the Huntington’s Chinese garden, offering K-12 educators hands-on insights into using the garden as a teaching tool. A Grand Performance in Beijing
Zhou Tian, a student at USC's Thorton School of Music, had his piece "The Grand Canal Symphonic Suite" performed by the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in Beijing, China. Additionally, the piece was viewed by a nationally televised audience to commemorate China's 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic.
