Terry Cooper's Responsible Administrator published in Chinese
Terry Cooper’s influential textbook, The Responsible Administrator: An Approach to Ethics for the Administrative Role has been translated into Chinese (行政伦理学:实现行政责任的途径) and is part of the standard reading list for public administration degree programs in China. The Chinese translation was published by Renmin University Press (人民大学出版社, 4th ed., 2001) .
Prof. Cooper teaches in the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development. He heads the Civic Engagement Initiative and together with American and Chinese colleagues is examining the evolving role of homeowner associations in China. This research has been supported by USC U.S.-China Institute grants.
In addition to The Responsible Administrator (now in its 5th edition, 2006), Prof. Cooper has published An Ethic of Citizenship for Public Administration (Prentice Hall, 1991). He is the co-editor of Exemplary Public Administrators: Character and Leadership in Government (Jossey-Bass, 1992) and the editor of Handbook of Administrative Ethics (2nd ed., Marcel Dekker, 2001).
