Once an award-winning veteran documentary director at CCTV, Jiachun Hong is currently a PhD student in Mass Communication and Media Arts at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He holds a BA in International Studies from Peking University and a M.Phil in Communication from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research area includes social media, mobile media, and family communication.
