Anthropologist Eugene Cooper receives ACLS support
Eugene Cooper, professor of anthropology, received a planning meeting grant from American Council of Learned Societies. The "New Perspectives on Chinese Culture and Society" program is funded by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation. Cooper, a visiting fellow at Princeton University in 2006-2007, received the grant to underwrite a workshop focusing on Temples in Rural China. Paul Katz of Academica Sinica's Institute of Modern History was among the participants in the May 13, 2007 scholarly gathering.
