Join us for a free one-day workshop for educators at the Japanese American National Museum, hosted by the USC U.S.-China Institute and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. This workshop will include a guided tour of the beloved exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community, slated to close permanently in January 2025. Following the tour, learn strategies for engaging students in the primary source artifacts, images, and documents found in JANM’s vast collection and discover classroom-ready resources to support teaching and learning about the Japanese American experience.
Volunteer Opportunity for Hong Kong Trade Development Council event on October 29
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council Los Angeles Office is organizing a Hong Kong-Jiangsu Partnership Mission in Los Angeles on October 29. One of the events will be business meetings between Chinese delegates and US enterprises. They are seeking student interpreters who are fluent in both Mandarin and English for this volunteer opportunity. Candidates who are familiar with recent technologies, such as artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and e-commerce, are preferred. Interviews will be held on October 17, 2018.
