When:
February 16, 2017 10:30am to 12:00pm
Where
In his latest work, John Pomfret, the author of Chinese Lessons unscrolls the history of mutual influence between the United States and China, highlighting the diplomats, thinkers, warriors, students, actresses, rascals, and revolutionaries who have shaped the two nations’ relationship for good and ill over a quarter millennium. Many of the breakthroughs and illusions Pomfret traces through these stories are relevant today as Beijing and Washington reconsider the goals and benefits of bilateral relations.
