Yu Hua is one of China’s most celebrated writers, the author of four novels, numerous collections of short stories, and several volumes of essays; his fiction has been translated
into many languages. His works include To Live and Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, named two of the most influential books in China in the 1990s, as well as a memorable debut novel, Cries in the Drizzle. Just released in English is his satirical epic Brothers, a best-seller in China.
English editions of Yu Hua’s books will be available for purchase in the lobby of Hahn.
