The EASC is excited to announce that it was just awarded a Spotlight Taiwan grant from the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture's Taiwan Academy, a branch of TECO. This grant will allow EASC to promote greater interest and appreciation of Taiwanese culture in SoCal through events that showcase recent Taiwanese documentaries over the course of three semesters. EASC will feature the works of leading Taiwanese documentary filmmakers who will be brought to USC for a Q&A and panel session following the screenings of their films. Stanley Rosen, the PI on the grant, and Katherine Chu (EAAS MA and POIR PhD), will work with EASC to develop this series at USC, the first of which will feature Director SHEN Ko-shang on Tuesday, October 28.
