Public Talk - Los Angeles, CA

U.S.-China Relations in the New World Order

The U.S.-China relationship is arguably the most important bilateral relationship in the world for the 21st Century. This relationship has been both cooperative and competitive in recent years, but has recently hit one of the worst lows in recent memory due to issues surrounding geopolitical disputes in Asia, trade, economic and security issues. The current and rising superpowers must dissolve the escalating tensions in their relationship, or risk major conflict. What are the root causes for the tensions and divide? Will the relationship be derailed? What needs to be done by one and by all to arrest the dangerous trend, avert any potential catastrophe and bring the relationship back on track?

Dr. Zhihang Chi will share his candid and incisive views on closing the perception gap and crossing the cultural and diplomatic divide for business success in a new world order where the global stage is shared by two economic superpowers. Dr. Chi received the China Business Leadership Award from the U.S.-China Policy Foundation for contributions to greater understanding between American and Chinese policymakers and government officials.
