Clayton Dube has led the USC US-China Institute since 2006. He worked in China from 1982-85 and 1991-92 and often travels there to lead delegations, lecture, and carry out research. Trained as a historian, Dube's current work focuses on the impact of economic and political change on Chinese society. He writes the popular Talking Points newsletter, moderates the Chinapol discussion list, and is a director of the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. Follow him on Twitter at @claydube.
