David Leiwei Li is Professor of English, and Collins Professor of the Humanities at the University of Oregon. He is author of Imagining the Nation: Asian American Literature and Cultural Consent (Stanford UP, 1998) and editor of Globalization and the Humanities (Hong Kong UP, 2004). His book in progress, Globalization on Speed: Culture, Capital, and Chinese Cinema, is under contract with Stanford University Press, and he has just assumed editorship for Major Works: Asian American Literature, a four-volume, 1,600 pp. project of criticism for Routeldge, UK.
