Meher McArthur, author of the book Reading Buddhist Art: A Guide to Buddhist Signs and Symbols, will present an introduction to the formats, materials and iconography of Tibetan Buddhist painting, using images of traditional Tibetan thangka paintings and examples of contemporary painting from the Sacred Realms exhibition at the Bowers.
