Workshop: Center for Chinese Studies
Knowledge production means the forms of cultural, social, and political work that create those systems of knowledge recognized as legitimate in a particular social context. Participants will seek to illustrate the uniqueness of Mao era institutions, ideas, and identities as well as their connections across China’s long twentieth century. Organized by Professors Eddy U (UC Davis), Robert Culp (Bard College), and Wen-hsin Yeh (UC Berkeley), this workshop will include international and U.S. participants from a range of disciplines.
