Liu Xiaobo is a Chinese writer and human rights activist. Winner of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize, Liu is currently imprisoned in China for his writings. This book marks the inaugural English-language collection of his work. Perry Link, one of the foremost scholars of China in the West, specializes in 20th century Chinese literature. An international expert on Chinese human rights issues, Link has edited this volume of the Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo’s writings from the past two decades. Perry Link is Emeritus Professor of East Asian Studies at Princeton and now teaches at the University of California at Riverside.
