Nicole Kwan, co-author of The Dragon and the Crown: Hong Kong Memoirs, will discuss the book she co-wrote with her uncle, the late Stanley Kwan, creator of the Hang Seng Stock Index.
Mr. Kwan and his family experienced the upheavals of war and Communist revolution in Hong Kong and mainland China, as well as the story of Hong Kong’s spectacular economic growth after the war. After the creation of the Hang Seng Stock Index in 1969, The Hong Kong Market never looked back.
