Isabel "Didi" Cutler has spent many years living and traveling through the Islamic world, including Pakistan, Western China, and the Middle East. Her photographic portraits and landscapes are in embassies, museums, and offices throughout the world as well as in many private and public collections. She was invited by the Government of Pakistan to hold exhibitions of her photographs in Lahore and Islamabad.
Cutler's portraits comprise a broad range of individuals—from women and neighborhood children in rural villages, to royal families in palaces. In her speech Cutler will recount her experiences and explore the role of women in Asian and Middle Eastern Societies. Her talk will be enhanced with a video presentation.
