Qingyun Ma, the current dean of USC School of Architecture is considered to be one of the most influential architects in his field. In 1996, he founded the Shanghai-based architectural firm, MADA s.p.a.m., which practices the philosophy of bridging the fields of strategy, planning, architecture and media. With this firm, Ma has created award-winning projects such as the Longyang Residential complex in Shanghai and the Silk Tower in Xian.
Qingyun Ma’s experience and involvement on an international level make him a leader with a strong relationship with the design community and a deep understanding of the contemporary issues surrounding urbanization.
