Creating An Inclusive Education System in China

Chen Yunying is a leading Chinese scholar of special education and child development. She earned her BA and B.Ed. degrees at Taiwan's Cheng-chih  University, her M.Ed. from Edinbourgh University (Pennsylvania), and her Ed.D. degree at George Washington University. Her research focuses on inclusive education, mental retardation, educational assessment and psychological measurement, school development study, and education policy. She's active in both national and international organizations focused on promoting quality education for all. Dr. Chen is a Deputy of the National People Congress, senior research fellow of the China National Institute of Education Research, editor of the Chinese Journal of Special Education, vice president of the China Family Federation of Mental Disabilities and the China People Federation of Disabilities, and adjunct professor of Peking University, Beijing Normal University, People’s University, and East China Normal University.
