Creating the Digital Cave

Image

Artist Jason Salavon and F|S curator Keith Wilson discuss the fascinating process of creating the Digital Cave, an immersive video installation featured in the exhibition Echoes of the Past. Find out how Salavon poetically wove together a montage of black-and-white archival images, contemporary color photographs, and 3D digital reconstructions of the South Cave at northern Xiangtangshan to convey the site’s modern history of despoliation, preservation, and reconstruction.
