Between Competition and Cooperation: The future of the U.S.- China Relationship

Image

As the bilateral relationship between the U.S. and China enters uncharted waters, the path to a new relationship is highly dependent on whether or not we can forge cooperation between two competitive giants of a nation. A panel of experts, including Stephen Hadley, former national security advisor to President Bush, James Steinberg, former deputy national security advisor to President Clinton, and Chinese Ambassador Cui Tiankai will offer insights into how the U.S. and China can restrain competitive excesses, sustain cooperative energy and work out a modus vivendi given their increasingly divergent interests.

Location: J.R. Beyster Auditorium at the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego. Limited parking is available in P357 (map and directions). Overflow parking is available in Pangea Parking Structure (Pangea @ N Torrey Pines), weekend parking rates will apply.
