Asia Society's Changing the Game: Asia's Emerging Markets

Image

A growing number of transformative business innovations are being pioneered by India and China's diversified conglomerates. From mobile phones to telecoms, to medical technology to hybrid cars and consumer goods, knowledge-intensive Indian and Chinese companies are driving the growth of key global markets through "disruptive" and "frugal" innovations in cost, scale, production and distribution. These game changing innovations are shifting the balance to the developing world, where companies like India's Infosys or China's Haier are not only leading their industries in rethinking products and distribution systems, but forging privileged trade and investment relationships with Latin America and Africa.
