The 2011 National Chinese Language Conference will feature expert-led sessions and swap-shop forums focused on establishing and sustaining high-quality Chinese language programs in American schools, and building international collaborations.
School, district, and state administrators will benefit from sessions on topics such as program models and quality, curriculum, student assessment, classroom observation, teacher professional development, and more.
For teachers, the conference will cover topics on curriculum and instruction, effective use of technology and teaching material, student assessment, building local connections, China across the curriculum, and reaching for global partnerships to enhance teaching and learning Chinese – and teaching and learning about the larger world in general.
Educators at the higher education and K–12 levels will have an opportunity to discuss important issues including program articulation, teacher development and support, research, and more.
