Music in the Chinese Garden - Qichao Liu on dizi and sheng

A different solo musician will perform each week inside the Love for the Lotus Pavilion, playing unamplified melodies on classical instruments including the dizi, sheng, pipa, erhu, and zheng.

There’s something in the air in Liu Fang Yuan 流芳園, the Garden of Flowing Fragrance.

Music!  Starting in October, visitors will be able to enjoy the sounds of traditional Chinese music on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. in the garden.  A different solo musician will perform each week inside Ai Lian Xie 愛蓮榭, the Love for the Lotus Pavilion, playing unamplified melodies on classical instruments including the dizi 笛子, sheng , pipa 琵琶, erhu二胡, and guzheng 古箏
