UCLA Confucius Institute presents the renowned Xiao Baihua Yue Opera Troupe from Ningbo.

In their only West Coast performance, the renowned Xiao Baihua Yue Opera Troupe from Ningbo, China will launch the Year of the Tiger with an evening of Chinese music, dance and theater. With roots in the folk music traditions of the Yangtze River Valley region of central eastern China, Yue Opera (yueju) is known for its gentle melodies, stunning visual performance style, and cross-gender casting. Yue opera performances reflect both the traditional and cosmopolitan sensibilities of the Shanghai region. Its featured repertoire of romantic plays is popular among audiences of all ages and from all parts of the globe.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students/seniors/children.
All seats are general admission and available for purchase online and at the Central Ticket Office on campus.
