Professor Peng Du, Ph. D., Fulbright Visiting Scholar at School of Social Work and School of Gerontology at USC, 2009-2010.

Dr. Du currently is the director and professor of the Gerontology Institute, Renmin University of China; deputy director, Center for Population and Development Studies at Renmin University of China. His academic titles include vice-president, China Gerontological Society; president, Beijing Association of Gerontology. He is also the chair of International Association of Gerontology and Geri-atrics Asia/Oceania Region, board member of United Nations International Institute on Aging, and board member of Help Age International. He has published numerous books and manuscripts on aging and persons with disabilities related topics.

Dr. Du will focus on the development of population aging and social gerontology research in China, the current research priorities and the emerging issues related with aging research in China.
