The Folger Consort and guest artists perform Italian and Chinese music circa 1610, including song and brilliant instrumental music by Francesca Caccini (the first woman to compose an opera), Sigismundo d’India, Biagio Marini, and others, along with Chinese music for pipa, a type of Chinese lute.
