This workshop will include a guided tour of the beloved exhibition Common Ground: The Heart of Community, slated to close permanently in January 2025. Following the tour, learn strategies for engaging students in the primary source artifacts, images, and documents found in JANM’s vast collection and discover classroom-ready resources to support teaching and learning about the Japanese American experience.

A business briefing with senior Chinese civil aviation officials responsible for implementing environmental projects in the sustainable airport development sector.
Where
The goal of this briefing is to introduce a delegation of high-ranking Chinese airport officials from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to U.S. companies interested in learning more about environmental projects in the China airport development sector and to showcase U.S. technologies and best practices. The delegates from CAAC will already have participated in presentations on air quality, water quality, sustainability projects, recycling and energy efficiency programs, during airport briefings/tours from September 7 through 18 in San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Washington, D.C. and New York. U.S. companies will have the opportunity to hear presentations from CAAC officials on future projects, both short-term and long-term, and proposals for exploring the development of airport environmental partnerships.
