UCLA & InterCulture Association present two time International Competition gold medal winner, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Symphony Orchestra & China's Acclaimed Conductor, Mr. Cao Peng.

Established in 1896, SJTU has a long history of arts education. It has had its own symphonic orchestra since 1920s. Twice the winner of gold medals in the international band competition in 2001 and 2003, the Orchestra is under the direction of the world acclaimed director Cao Peng, former Chief Conductor of Shanghai Symphonic Orchestra before his retirement. The Orchestra has performed in many countries around the world, including Germany, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Japan and New Zealand. This will be their first visit to the United States.
