The Southern California Council of Chinese Schools, cohosted by the USC U.S.-China Institute, recently held its 24th Summer Teaching Conference on Chinese Language Instruction at Chapman University in Orange, California, from July 24-26, 2026. Bringing together Chinese language educators, scholars, and school leaders from across the region and beyond, the three-day conference explored innovative approaches to language teaching, cultural integration, and the future of Chinese language education. Through keynote presentations, hands-on workshops, and collaborative discussions, participants exchanged ideas and practical strategies for strengthening Chinese language instruction in K-12 classrooms.
