Mao Zedong's Policies:
Attached are 2 different Documents often known as a "Photo Essay," one detailing the Great Leap Forward, and the other the Cultural Revolution. Also attached is a Comparison Worksheet.
Like many of my lesson plans this is actually stolen from another teacher. I use the attached Documents to discuss Mao's policies and students work in groups of 4 to discuss the goals and end results of each policy usually one policy at a time. This opens up class discussion and the opportunity to use evidence to write an argument as well.
Hope that this is something other World History teachers can use for their own teaching styles.

Comparison: Mao's Policies
Thank you for posting this. I am teaching a book that refers to Mao and has the Cultural Revoltuion as a backdrop. I've been looking for some good resources to give my students some background knowledge.
