National Council for the Social Studies, Fund for the Advancement of Social Studies Education Christa McAuliffe Reach for the Stars Award
The 2010 Christa McAuliffe Reach for the Stars Award is currently underway. This award assists classroom teachers in developing and implementing innovative social studies teaching strategies and supporting students implementation of innovative social studies citizenship projects.

I want to encourage everyone to apply for the Fulbright Scholarship. I went to Japan for 3 weeks, and learned about the Japanese educational system, stayed with a Japanese family for a night, ate a sea cucumber, and talked with bombing survivors. This trip was all expenses paid, with your own very nice hotel room in Tokyo, good food, and they gave you $250 spending money! Great experience!
Some of the grants listed below sounded like an once in a life time chance. The deadline dates are expired by two years. I missed the flight.
