Why are young people at the center of Chinese hopes and fears? What do these young people hope for and worry about? Born between 1980 and 2000, there are over four hundred thousand millennials in China and they differ radically from previous generations. In this talk, Clayton Dube will discuss this diverse new generation and how it will shape China's future.
Mr. Dube, a world renowned Asia expert, has led the USC US-China Institute since 2006 with a focus on the evolving US-China relationship. He worked in China for over five years and travels there to lead delegations, lecture, and carry out research. He has been the editorial director for online magazines Asia Media, Asia Pacific Arts and US-China Today, and writes the popular Talking Points newsletter. Follow him on Twitter @claydube.
