Join the Asia Society for a stylish Reception with live music and pan-Asian tastes, followed by an elegant Dinner and Dancing. A selection of remarkable Tang era treasures from the permanent collection of the Asian Civilizations Museum in Singapore will be on view for the first time in the United States.

During the Tang dynasty (618-906), a global culture flourished as China enjoyed strong diplomatic ties and exchanges of goods over land and sea. The Tang Dynasty Ball celebrates the multi-cultural splendor of the period as exemplified by the glory of Chang’an, the Tang capital. People, fashion, music, food, and commodities came together through active trade between China, Southeast Asia, and the Islamic Middle East during this period.

This fabulous and festive evening will feature leading figures from the worlds of art and fashion, along with musical entertainment, dinner, and dancing. Our guest chef will create an array of cuisines from across Asia in one glamorous setting. Visit the Museum galleries for a private viewing of the exquisite array of objects from the Tang era. To top off the evening, the glass-ceilinged Garden Court will transform into a magical aerie for dessert and dancing to a unique.
